Our thoughts are the key. If we continue to think of how miserable we are, that is exactly what we get, because we are attracting it to us. No, it is not baloney, as some would say. Here are thoughts that could help turn things around.
First, find a quiet place every day, preferably in the morning as it sets the tone for the day.
1) Make a list of everything you have to be grateful for.
2) Read it every morning and add to it each day.
3) List the activities or interests that make you smile. Then ask yourself if they are still a part of your life
4) Pick a friend. How often have you supported and complimented this friend? Or have you used your time together to relate all the misery you have had lately.
5) Contact this friend and set up lunch, a walk, coffee, and spend the entire time listening to what they have to tell you about their recent life. Smile or cry when appropriate. Throw a compliment or two their way. Go home feeling great!
6) Attack unpleasant tasks quickly and with determination and get them out of the way.
7) Re-introduce those activities that please you, into your life.
8) Ad anything else to this list you can think of that is positive.
9) Let thoughts collect of what you would like to have happen in your life.
10) Then claim it all as if it is already yours!
