Only recently I made a profound discovery. One that made me think differently every waking moment, one that made me realise why I haven't been able to have some of my goals in spite of my working hard and diligently towards them.
That discovery came about not by chance. After a while of working hard, working smart, working long hours towards one of my goals and not achieving it, I decided to ask myself, over and over again the question, What do I have to do to achieve my goal?
I suppose by the process of the Law of Attraction, I come across the word 'beliefs' in a book I was reading, and that word stuck out like a sore thumb and for some reason I was unable to get it out of my mind.
In a short while, I uncovered the truth.
For me to achieve my goal I needed to first identify my beliefs about that goal; find out which ones are in line with my goal and which ones aren't.
If my beliefs are in alignment, my journey will have much less resistance. However, if my beliefs are not in alignment with my goal, it is highly unlikely that I will achieve it.
Those beliefs that are not in alignment are my limiting beliefs, my sabotaging beliefs. They will stop me cold. They will not allow me to achieve my goal. During certain times while on the journey, I might think I am making some headway, but in the long run, I'm not progressing as much as I want to.
It was only after I challenged and eliminated the limiting beliefs and had them working with me did I realise the goal that I wanted.
So what does this story of mine have anything to do with you?
If you are struggling, not progressing or progressing extremely slowly in living the life that you want, or to manifest the goal that you want, you must first identify what is holding you back, single out all your limiting beliefs in that particular area.
How?
Say you want to have high self confidence whilst giving a marketing presentation. Say to yourself, "I am going to give the best presentation next week." Then notice and make note of all the "Yeah, but..." or "No way. You're going to stutter all the way through" or "You'll be a nervous wreck."
These are your limiting beliefs that you will need to tackle and eliminate, and then replace them with powerful self enhancing beliefs.
