Harry Chapin is one of my all time favorite singer-songwriters. To take a line of one of his songs (singing about himself, I'm sure) "and he sand from his heart, and he sand from his soul, he did not know how well he sang, it just made him whole."
Harry Chapin not only sang, he put his money where his mouth was: He gave half his yearly concert income to World Hunger Year, and organization he helped start. He gave away 800 grand the year before he was tragically killed in a car accident.
Recently I was watching a few YouTube videos about Harry, and came across the above quote, one which I had not seen or heard before.
Which risk will you take?
Everyone, each and everyone of us has a dream, right? You may be blessed enough to be in the middle of pursuing it right now or you may be struggling or you may have even given up on your dreams.
Whichever description fits for you, the choice is still the same. Will you take the little risks, even if you wind up looking foolish, in order to pursue your dream? Or will you take the even bigger risk of not pursuing your dreams and wind up looking back on your life wishing you had lived a more full life?
